Smile Design is a guided 5-step process from first photo to final prep — here's what each stage involves.
1. Capture
One normal-smile photo, one retracted-smile photo
2. Scan
Scan or impression of un-prepped teeth
3. Design
3D digital design superimposed on patient's photo
4. Try-In
Approved design becomes a model + putty matrix for a physical try-in
5. Prep
Reduction guide stent used to prep for final restoration
The Details
The try-in step only works when the patient's existing teeth are smaller than the designed improvement — worth confirming case-by-case.
