Digital Dentures

Fewer appointments. Less hassle. Lower cost.

What are they?

Despite what the name implies, digital dentures can be fabricated from both a physical impression or a scan – the digital component comes in at the design stage. Using CAD technology and top-of-the-line Carbon M3 3D printers, the digital design method opens the door for any type of customization. In fact, this new method improves accuracy and comfort by aligning fit to the exact micron.

Benefits

  • Better fit

  • Fewer appointments

  • Quicker turnaround time

  • Reprint on demand

  • Lower cost

Digital dentures are 8 times stronger than traditional dentures, so not only are you receiving a more accurate and comfortable fit, you’re also receiving increased durability. On average, they require less adjustments and relines than conventional dentures.

You can complete your digital denture cases in just 1 to 3 appointments. These always include the initial scan of the patient and the delivery, and will include a try-in only if requested. Immediate dentures are even simpler.

Since this workflow is completely digital, the turnaround time is quicker than traditional, handcrafted dentures. Handcrafted dentures require more hassle and take longer to fabricate. Along with having a quicker process, digital dentures can be re-printed on demand if anything ever happens to the existing denture or a simple reline has to be done.

What to send

Fully Edentulous with no existing denture

• Scan or impress upper and lower.

• Receive wax rim, mark it up, and return to the lab.

• Receive final denture.

Reline Existing Denture

• Perform a soft reline and then scan all surfaces of the denture including the intaglio

of the mouth.

• Lab receives scan, prints new denture, and delivers

immediately.

Immediate Denture

• Scan the upper, lower, and bite of the existing teeth. Accurately capturing the bite / vertical is very important.

• Receive provisional denture.

The try-in stage is skipped unless requested due to minor or no adjustments being required.
